Alberto Landgraf is a Brazilian chef of German and Japanese descent born in Cornélio Procópio, Paraná, who has revolutionized Rio de Janeiro's dining scene with his two-Michelin-starred restaurant Oteque, which opened in 2018. After initially studying physics and moving to London in the early 2000s to study English, he discovered his passion for cooking while working in professional kitchens under renowned chefs including Tom Aikens and Gordon Ramsay. He previously opened Epice in São Paulo in 2008, which earned a Michelin star before closing in 2015 following his mother's death. His culinary philosophy combines Japanese minimalist aesthetics with high-quality Brazilian ingredients processed using modern and traditional techniques.
