i. Biography
Andrew Carmellini is an American chef, restaurateur, and Culinary Institute of America alumnus born and raised in Seven Hills, Ohio. He trained in top European kitchens including San Domenico and L’Arpège before serving as chef de cuisine at Café Boulud in New York, where he won James Beard Awards for Rising Star Chef (2000) and Best Chef: New York City (2005). In 2009, he co-founded NoHo Hospitality Group with partners Josh Pickard and Luke Ostrom, opening Locanda Verde and expanding to over 15 restaurants including Café Carmellini, Carne Mare, and Mister Dips.
