Bradyn Kawcak is the Executive Chef at Atelier in Chicago's Lincoln Square, where he took over in early 2024 from Chef Christian Hunter, retaining the restaurant's Michelin star and earning a James Beard semifinalist nomination for Best New Restaurant. Raised in Northern Colorado, he developed his ingredient-driven style through stages in South America, five years in Seattle at Terra Plata, Local 360, and University of Washington Farm, and mentorship under Chef Patrick Ayers at Cloverdale Farm and Restaurant in Steamboat Springs. In Chicago since 2019, he worked at Band of Bohemia, Entente, and as Executive Sous Chef at the transitioned Elizabeth before returning to Atelier.
