i. Biography
Eduard Xatruch, born in 1981 in Vila-seca, Tarragona, Spain, trained at the Escuela de Hostelería de Cambrils before joining elBulli in 1999, where he advanced to the creative team after stages at The Fat Duck, Le Calandre, and Arzak. Alongside Oriol Castro and Mateu Casañas, he co-opened Compartir in Cadaqués in 2012 and Disfrutar in Barcelona in 2014, with Disfrutar earning three Michelin stars, ranking No. 2 in The World's 50 Best Restaurants, and maintaining three Repsol Suns.
