Evan Funke is a two-time James Beard-nominated chef renowned as a culinary storyteller and master of handmade Italian pasta, trained under Alessandra Spisni in Bologna.[1][3] Born in Santa Monica and raised in the Palisades as a sixth-generation Californian, he began his career after culinary school with stints at Wolfgang Puck's Spago and Rustic Canyon, later opening acclaimed restaurants following a transformative pasta apprenticeship in Italy.[1][2] His portfolio includes Felix Trattoria in Venice, Mother Wolf in Hollywood and expansions, and the eponymous Funke in Beverly Hills.[1][3]
