Gaggan Anand is a Kolkata-born chef who opened his progressive Indian restaurant Gaggan in Bangkok in 2010, which earned two Michelin stars and was named Asia's Best Restaurant by Asia's 50 Best from 2015-2018. After closing the original Gaggan in 2019, he launched Gaggan Anand, later reverting to Gaggan in 2024, which topped Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025 for the fifth time and ranked No. 6 globally. His cuisine blends Indian flavors with molecular gastronomy techniques learned at elBulli, influencing chefs worldwide including Garima Arora.
