Managing Domaine Marquis d'Angerville, producing elegant Volnay Pinot Noir
i. Biography
Guillaume d'Angerville, born in 1956, worked as an investment banker for JP Morgan in New York, London, and Paris before returning to Burgundy in 2003 following his father Jacques' sudden death to manage the family estate, Domaine Marquis d'Angerville in Volnay. He upholds the domaine's legacy of precision, respect for terroir, and humility, transitioning it to Demeter-certified biodynamic practices while maintaining non-interventionist winemaking. The estate, acquired by his family in 1804, is renowned for elegant Pinot Noir from premier cru vineyards like Clos des Ducs.
