Heinz Beck, a German chef from Friedrichshafen, Bavaria, has been Executive Chef at La Pergola in Rome's Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts since 1994, leading it to three Michelin stars in 2005 after earning two in 2001. His career began in 1985 in Munich, progressing through roles at Colombi Hotel in Freiburg, Tantris in Munich, Tristán in Mallorca, and Residenz Heinz Winkler in Aschau, Germany, before earning his master chef title in 1992. Known for innovative, health-focused cuisine with signature dishes like Fagottelli alla Pergola, he also operated Apsleys, A Heinz Beck Restaurant in London from 2009-2013, which earned one Michelin star.
