Heston Blumenthal is the chef and proprietor of The Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire, which earned three Michelin stars in 2004 and was named the world's best restaurant by The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2005. Self-taught, he opened The Fat Duck in 1995, pioneering molecular gastronomy with dishes like snail porridge and egg-and-bacon ice cream, and later launched Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in London in 2011, which received two Michelin stars. He has received the Diners Club Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 and an OBE in 2006 for services to British gastronomy.
