i. Biography
Jayson Woodbridge is the founder and owner of Hundred Acre Wine Group, a Napa Valley winery established in 1999 that has achieved historic recognition with more than 61 perfect 100-point scores from critics, more than any other winemaker in the world. Born in Toronto in 1963 to a middle-class family, Woodbridge transitioned from a successful career as an investment banker to pursue winemaking after an epiphany in 1990, despite having no formal winemaking training. Through Hundred Acre and his subsequent ventures Fortunate Son and Summer Dreams, he has acquired and preserved historic vineyards across Napa Valley and Sonoma, including the David Fulton Winery (established 1860) and Madrigal Winery, while maintaining an uncompromising commitment to producing ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varietals.
