Jean-Philippe Delmas is the third-generation winemaker at Château Haut-Brion in Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux, taking over from his father Jean-Bernard Delmas in 2004 after studying oenology in Bordeaux and gaining experience at Domaine Ott in Provence, Far Niente in California, and Moët & Chandon in Champagne. He also oversees winemaking at Château La Mission Haut-Brion, acquired by Domaine Clarence Dillon in 1983, continuing the family's century-long legacy at these estates since his grandfather Georges Delmas joined in 1921.
