i. Biography
Josiah Citrin is a two-Michelin-star chef and owner of Mélisse in Santa Monica, California, with over 40 years of experience in Los Angeles's gourmet dining scene. After graduating from Santa Monica High School, he trained for three years at Parisian restaurants Vivarois and La Poste, then worked at Wolfgang Puck’s Chinois on Main, Granita, Patina, and Pinot Bistro in Los Angeles before opening JiRaffe in 1996 and Mélisse in 1999. He also owns Citrin, a one-Michelin-star restaurant, alongside casual concepts like Charcoal Venice.
