Juan Amador, born in 1968 in Waiblingen, Germany, to Spanish parents, is a chef who opened his eponymous three-Michelin-starred restaurant Amador in Langen near Frankfurt in 2005, earning three stars in 2008 and Relais & Châteaux membership. After closing that location, he relocated to Vienna in 2016, transforming a former Heuriger into Austria's first and only three-Michelin-starred restaurant Amador, awarded two stars in 2017 and the third in 2019. His career includes prior roles earning Michelin stars at Petersilie in Lüdenscheid and Schlosshotel Weyberhöfe in Sailauf.
