Juan Sahuquillo, alongside lifelong friend Javier Sanz, both from Casas-Ibáñez in Albacete, Spain, transformed their family business into Grupo Cañitas, directing the gastronomic offerings at Cañitas Maite Gastro, Oba-, and CEBO in Madrid. At age 25, they earned a Michelin star and a Green Star for Oba- within 10 months of its January 2022 opening, highlighting their sustainable, territory-rooted cuisine inspired by La Manchuela. They also oversee gastronomy at Hotel Urban's CEBO restaurant, retaining its Michelin star, and at Can Domo in Ibiza.
