i. Biography
Julie Cavil is the first female Cellar Master (Chef de Caves) at Maison Krug in Reims, Champagne, appointed in 2020 after joining the house in 2006 as part of the winemaking team and later serving as director of winemaking operations. Previously, she worked at Moët & Chandon following her oenology studies in Reims, having transitioned from an advertising career in Paris around 2002. She leads the creation of Krug Grande Cuvée editions, such as the 164ème and 168ème, and oversees the Single Ingredient program pairing Krug Champagne with everyday foods.
