Julien Barrot

Julien Barrot is the winemaker at Domaine la Barroche, a family-owned estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where he joined in 2002 after completing studies in oenology and business, marking the start of estate-bottled wines with the first vintage in 2003. He oversees winemaking for cuvées including Julien Barrot, Pure, Fiancée, and Liberty, utilizing century-old Grenache vines and modern facilities like gravity-fed cellars and tulip-shaped concrete tanks added after a 2015 renovation. With his sister Laetitia, he manages the 12.5-hectare property rooted in family land holdings since 1703.
