Margarita Manzke, born and raised in the Philippines, is a renowned pastry chef who trained at top Los Angeles restaurants including Patina, Spago, and Mélisse before opening acclaimed concepts in Carmel with her husband Walter Manzke. The couple launched République in Los Angeles, where she served as pastry chef, earning eight James Beard nominations and a 2023 win for Outstanding Pastry Chef or Baker. She is co-owner of Wildflour in the Philippines and part of Manzke Hospitality Group, overseeing spots like Sari Sari Store and Michelin-starred Manzke.
