Michael Mina is an Egyptian-born American chef and restaurateur who founded the Mina Group in 2002 with Andre Agassi, overseeing over 40 restaurants worldwide including Michael Mina at Bellagio in Las Vegas. He rose to prominence as executive chef of Aqua in San Francisco from 1993 to 2002, earning James Beard Foundation's Rising Star Chef of the Year in 1997 and Best Chef: California in 2002. His namesake restaurants in San Francisco and Las Vegas have each received a Michelin star, and he was inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s “Who’s Who of Food & Beverage” in 2013.
