Pierre Duroché is the fifth-generation owner and winemaker of Domaine Duroché in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy, France. Before dedicating himself to winemaking, he was a champion rock climber who competed at World Cups (2004-2008) and in 2007 became the first and only climber to successfully ascend a 9A-graded route in the Cormot climbing area. He joined the family domaine in 2003 as a partner and gained full control in 2005, transforming it into one of the most acclaimed estates in the Côte de Nuits through sustainable farming practices and meticulous winemaking.
