i. Biography
Ricard Camarena is a Valencian chef who began his career leasing Piscina de Barxar in Barx near Gandia in the early 2000s, opened Arrop in Gandia in 2004 earning a Michelin star in 2007, and relocated to Valencia where he launched Ricard Camarena Restaurant in 2012, receiving a second Michelin star in 2018. His establishments include Canalla Bistro by Ricard Camarena and Central Bar by Ricard Camarena in Valencia, reflecting his expansion into accessible dining concepts. He has been awarded the Spanish National Gastronomy Award, Best Chef by the Valencian Academy of Gastronomy, and Best Foreign Chef by Identità Golose.
